The Refectory Pool Table

This 7Ft Pool diner was an American Pool spec with a custom stain on the European Oak and was bespoke designed for a client’s requirements.

We took design aspects from the client’s old dining table and existing furniture, with stopped chamfered edges and a refectory style foot stretcher and incorporated them into the pool table design.

The Refectory diner had three standard dining top leaves, offering a dining table of approx. 7′ x 4’. This could be extended for entertaining or large diner parties by adding a fourth leaf in the centre, resulting in an impressive dining table of approx. 9’5”x 4’.

To extend the dining table, you simply pull out the two supporting bars at each end of the table. This method used the cantilever effect (under the slate), with the exposed ends of the support bars being a design feature and permanently within the table, and just slid back in for storage.

The Refectory can be built to English or American pool spec, available in any slate size and be offered as diner with removable dining tops.
The table can be fully customised with a huge variety of cloth and leather finishes to select from.
